Projects / Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre

This project was completed in phases to suit client funding and HLF grant contribution.

MEA were appointed as PM and QS for the phased development of Chippenham’s Museum and Heritage Centre.  This Grade II Listed building, the former Magistrates Court, was refurbished and altered to incorporate galleries, display areas, conservation and storage areas and an education centre.  Associated works provided commercial offices and a Marriage Room for the County Registrar service.

The scope of the project delivered included display cases, interactive displays and graphic illustration as well as the usual building work.  Conservation and dressing was carried out directly by the Museum with support from the Wiltshire County Museums Advisory Service.
